How to Stay Upbeat and Positive Most of The Time

We've all heard the well-intentioned advice to keep upbeat and positive at some point in our lives. When you are drowning in the oceans of negativity, it might be difficult to be positive in life. Being optimistic is defined as having hope and confidence in one's capacity to face difficult situations, as well as understanding that nothing is always negative. Therefore, even in times of distress there are way to stay positive.

how to stay upbeat and positive

According to research our emotions affect our bodies. We can choose to respond to negative feelings differently rather than trying to get rid of them. It's critical to understand how to emphasise positive thinking and enhance your outlook on life if you want to live a better existence.

Increase your physical activity.

Physical activity helps to fight depression, according to study from the University of Toronto. According to research, frequent exercise releases positive mood endorphins, which improves your mood. Physical and mental health are both aided by exercise. It will help you stay in better shape and increase your self-confidence. Way back when I was a young mother, I suffered Post Natal Depression with my second daughter. Once, I started running the PND vanished.

Make an attempt to see the bright side of things.

You have no control over what occurs to you, but you do have control over how you respond. It's up to you to search for the positive side of things and respond positively.

For instance, say you are waiting for the doctor who is running late. What a great opportunity this is to catch up on some research, study or news. I am currently learning Japanese on an app and I utilise my waiting times to practice more.

gratitude for happiness

Always remember to be appreciative.

It's impossible to be depressed in life when you have so much to be thankful for. No matter how bad things turn out, we must remember that we still have things in our lives that the majority of others on the planet do not. According to the findings, your brain is always focused on the bad aspects of life, such as tragedies, failures, fears, and so on. That is why we must place a greater emphasis on positive aspects of life. To do so, compile a gratitude list and read it whenever you get the opportunity. It will bring you more blessings and make you feel lot better about yourself.

I also make a habit of thanking the Universe (God) for my food, my home, my car when I hop in it. Gratitude is the key to raising your vibe.

Create a positive atmosphere.

It is critical to surround yourself with positive people who will assist you in being positive in the face of adversity. Surround yourself with individuals who will uplift you rather than tell your energy. I call these types energy vampires. Make it a rule not to listen to gossip or talk about other people.

You can also spend time reading inspirational literature, viewing motivational movies, or listening to music that makes you feel wonderful.

Be of Service

Volunteering or charitable work can improve your spiritual health and bring you inner peace. Contributing to people's well-being will also let you understand how privileged you are in comparison to others.

nature for happiness

Go to Nature

Nature provides us with positive energy and encourages us to think positively. It has become impossible to walk outside and spend time with nature in today's hectic world and desk-bound jobs. Spending time outside in nice weather will give you more energy, improve your attitude, and allow you to work more efficiently. If going out isn't an option, you can always add plants to your office or house or watch wonderful nature documentaries online.

Be Still

Meditation will help you focus, pay attention, be more clear, and keep your mind quiet. It prevents you from becoming anxious and, in the long run, keeps you happy. It is good for both the body and the mind.

Feelings should be expressed.

There are many things that happen in our lives that we keep inside ourselves. We feel relieved when we are able to share our feelings. You should always have someone you can talk to that is trustworthy and understands what you're going through. You can also write it down if you can't find the proper person.

Relax and unwind.

Worrying about anything is a powerful reason for anyone's mind to be destroyed. The majority of the things you fear in life never come to pass. I use a technique that I call "flip thought" I think the opposite of what I'm worry about.
