If you have a vision for a bracelet, earrings, or a necklace that feels like you, you do not need to pay extra to make it happen. At my Tea Gardens studio, I offer a free custom jewellery design service and ship Australia wide. Here is a simple, reassuring walkthrough of how it works, how long it usually takes, and how I shape each piece with intention and positive energy.
Custom vs bespoke, what is the difference?
Custom means I adapt an existing design to your preferences. Think different stones, length, clasp, or a lighter metal for daily wear. Bespoke means I co create from scratch for you, guided by your inspiration and needs. Both options are available at no extra cost. You get the same care, the same ethically sourced materials, and the same collaborative process.
How to get customised jewellery
You can start wherever you feel comfortable. Some people bring a photo or two. Others share a colour palette or a feeling they want to wear, such as calm ocean energy or warm confidence.
Step 1, Inspiration: Share your ideas, outfits, favourite stones, or life milestone. I will listen closely to your story.
Step 2, Stone selection: I suggest stones that align with your intention and style. Angelite for soft calm and communication. Carnelian for vitality and warmth. Larimar for sea kissed serenity. I can also look at Amazonite, Jasper, or Pearls depending on your vibe.
Step 3, Beads and style: Choose between smooth rounds, faceted sparkles, organic nuggets, or mixed textures. Decide on minimalist lines or boho layers, delicate accents or statement moments.
Step 4, Sizing: I measure your wrist or neck length properly, or guide you through easy at home measuring. More on sizing below.
Step 5, Sketch and layout: I mock up a bead layout and confirm the metal tone, clasp, and dangle length for earrings.
Step 6, Approval: You see photos or a quick video before I finish the piece. Small tweaks are welcome. Nothing ships until you love it.
I infuse every design with a clear intention, then handcraft it with positive energy. It is a gentle ritual that shows in the final feel of the piece.
Timelines and cost, what to expect
How long does it take to make custom earrings?
Simple stud or drop pairs usually take 1 to 3 business days once you approve the design. More intricate styles can take up to a week. Bracelets and necklaces: Most custom bracelets are finished within 2 to 4 days after approval. Necklaces range from 3 to 7 days depending on complexity and bead sourcing.

I ship Australia wide. Orders over $80 ship free.
How much does custom jewellery usually cost?
My custom service is free. You pay the standard price for the finished piece, based on materials and time, but there is no design fee.
Do you pay for custom jewellery upfront?
I usually take payment after design approval and before final assembly. If I need to specially source rare materials, I will discuss a small deposit first.

Sizing guide for a perfect fit
Correct sizing is the most common hurdle and the easiest to solve with a quick measure.
Bracelets, how to measure:
1. Wrap a soft tape around your wrist where the bracelet sits.
2. Note the snug measurement.
3. Add 1 to 1.5 cm for a close fit, 2 cm for relaxed, 2.5 cm for a loose drape.
4. For stretch styles, we often keep the add on closer to 1 to 1.5 cm.
Necklace lengths at a glance:
38 to 41 cm, sits at the base of the neck on most.
43 to 46 cm, classic collarbone length, great for pendants.
50 to 55 cm, just below collarbone, layers easily with shorter pieces.
60 to 70 cm, mid chest, comfortable for beads and statement focal points.
80 cm plus, long layers that work over knits and dresses.
Tip, if you are unsure, measure a necklace you already love and match that length. I can add extenders for flexibility.
What earring design suits my face shape
Round face: Longer vertical lines help. Try elegant drops, slim threaders, or small hoops with a pendant that draws the eye down.
Square face: Curves soften angles. Teardrops, oval hoops, and rounded clusters are flattering.
Heart shaped face: Balance a narrower jaw with soft triangles or small chandeliers that add fullness below the lobe.
Oval face: Most styles work. Play with scale, from delicate huggies to medium drops.
Long face: Wider shapes, clustered studs, or short drops add gentle width.
If earrings are for daily wear, keep metals light and hypoallergenic. Heavy metals can pull on the lobes over time, which is one of the common personalised jewellery mistakes to avoid.
Common mistakes to avoid with personalised pieces
Guessing the size. Always measure wrists and preferred necklace lengths.
Choosing heavy metals for daily earrings. Aim for comfort first.
Overcrowding colours. Pick a hero stone and let supporting beads complement it.
Forgetting lifestyle. If you type, low profile bracelets and smooth beads feel better.
Ignoring skin sensitivities.
Skipping approval. Always review the final layout. Your eye will spot what feels right.
