Why I Believe in Extraterrestrials and UFO's

My interest in Extraterrestrials and UAPs (UFO's as we called them in the day) didn’t start with research. It started with something I saw myself. But even long before this I believed we couldn't possibly be alone.

In the early 1990s, I was in Springwood in the Blue Mountains, on a quiet country road just before sunrise that still time of day where everything feels calm and undisturbed.

I remember looking up and noticing two objects very high in the sky. At first, I tried to make sense of them and assumed they were planes. But within moments, it became clear they weren’t moving like anything I had seen before. They were as bright as the sun and were extremely high in the sky, I saw them as balls of light rather than actual craft because that's how far away they were.

They moved in sharp, sudden directions, almost zig-zagging around each other. There was no smooth flight path, no gradual turns, just quick, precise shifts that didn’t align with how aircraft move.

I stood there watching, trying to understand what I was seeing, but there was no obvious explanation.

I wasn't frightened, rather I was in awe and before I knew it they were gone.

That moment has stayed with me ever since.

My UFO Dream in 1974

This is the most profound experience I've ever encountered. I am currently 64 and writing this in April 2026. I was 14 at the time, and in my dream, which I remember vividly even after all these years, I found myself in space, reminiscent of a Near Death Experience I had 25 years later. I was observing a mothership in space, almost like a vertical city.

Before my brother ended his life on Earth, he told me he had the exact same dream. He was an artist, and I asked him to draw the spaceship for me. He sketched the exact same craft I had seen. The video at the beginning of this post is the closest I can come to describing it, but imagine it as a rectangle rather than round. It was a metallic brown colour.

We have all read the news regarding whistleblowers, I am only naming one here but these guys put themselves in great danger by coming out in the open.

In recent years, figures like David Grusch have brought this topic further into the public eye through formal testimony, suggesting there may be more behind the scenes than we’re told.

UAP Researchers

Dr Steven Greer

I’ve also followed the work of Dr Steven Greer for many years. As a medical doctor and founder of the Disclosure Project, he has spent decades bringing attention to the possibility of extraterrestrial contact. Through government briefings, interviews with military and intelligence witnesses, and a series of documentaries, he has consistently pushed for greater transparency around the subject. While his views are often debated, the amount of time and energy he has dedicated to this area is something I’ve always found compelling.

Dr Michael Salla has spent years researching the political and global implications of extraterrestrial contact, compiling information from a wide range of sources.

Abductions

There are also many people around the world who report having direct encounters or experiences they can’t fully explain. While interpretations vary, the similarities in these accounts are something I find difficult to ignore.

The Universe

When you consider the sheer scale of the universe with billions of galaxies and potentially trillions of planets it becomes evident that Earth is not the only place where life exists.

• The observable universe contains an estimated 100–200 billion galaxies

• Each galaxy contains billions of stars

• Many of those stars have planetary systems

• Scientists estimate there could be trillions of planets

For me, it’s a combination of personal experience, the scale of the universe, and the growing number of accounts that makes it difficult to believe we are alone. I have been going down the Rabbit Hole for over 20 years and this short article is not to convey all the information I have discovered, but to give you some starting points to do your own research. Be warned, once you become aware there is not turning back. And don't get me started on the Draco!
