It can be challenging to stay in the present moment in a constantly moving world. We are often either dwelling on past events or anxiously anticipating future ones. However, harnessing the power of manifesting and understanding the law of attraction can help us focus on the present moment, leading to a more fulfilling and balanced life.
Staying in The Present Moment - Why it Helps
Staying in the present moment is not just about mindfulness or meditation; it's about truly living each moment without judgment or expectation. This practice allows us to fully engage with our surroundings and experiences, increasing happiness and reducing stress.
Moreover, being present is crucial when manifesting our desires and leveraging the law of attraction. These concepts suggest that our thoughts and feelings shape our reality. Therefore, focusing on positive emotions in the present moment can attract more positivity into our lives. The concept is that thoughts are energy that can manipulate space and turn it into something we want (or don't want). Negative thoughts are as powerful as positive ones.
Years ago, I had a vivid dream; I was standing atop a hill, and behind me were two tall angels. In the dream, I looked down at people and things; everything was covered in this thin, ethereal film. I asked the angels what it was, and they replied: "These are your thoughts that turn into reality".
Here are some strategies for staying in the present moment:
1. Practice mindfulness
Mindfulness is a form of meditation where you focus on what you're experiencing in the present moment without judgment. This could be your breath, bodily sensations, or thoughts passing through your mind.
Practising mindfulness helps you become more aware of your thoughts and feelings without getting caught up in them. This awareness allows you to shift your focus from negative thoughts that may hinder manifesting your desires using the law of attraction.
2. Engage Fully With Your Activities
Whether you're eating, working out, or simply walking down a street – try to engage fully with whatever activity you're doing. Pay attention to all your senses – what do you see? What do you hear? How does it feel?
By engaging fully with your activities, you become grounded in the present moment rather than getting lost in past regrets or future anxieties. This mindful engagement enhances your ability to use manifesting techniques effectively as it aligns your energy with positive vibrations.
3. Use Affirmations
Affirmations are positive statements that help overcome self-sabotaging negative thoughts. They help reprogram our subconscious mind to believe we can achieve our goals.
When used correctly, affirmations can be powerful tools for manifesting desires using the law of attraction, as they keep us focused on our goals rather than our fears or doubts. My affirmations and goals are printed out and placed around my home as a constant reminder to stop, breathe and read them.
4. Practice Gratitude
Gratitude is another powerful tool for staying grounded in the present moment while attracting more positivity into our lives through manifesting and the law of attraction principles.
By focusing on what we have right now instead of what we lack or desire for the future, we cultivate an attitude of abundance, which naturally attracts more abundance into our lives. Abundance isn't necessarily the money and things we own; just walking in a park or rainforest gives us a sense of how abundant this planet is.
Staying focused on the present moment isn't always easy, but with practice and patience, it becomes second nature over time. By practising mindfulness, engaging fully with activities at hand, using affirmations regularly and cultivating an attitude of gratitude - we not only enhance our ability to stay present but also harness powerful forces like manifesting and the law of attraction for creating a life filled with joy and fulfilment.
Every moment holds infinite possibilities for growth and transformation; all we need is to be fully there to seize them!
